This is the first in a new series of tips to help you get the most out of a Modern Governor subscription.
We’re going to start at the very beginning (a very fine place to start, according to Julie Andrews….).
How does your school subscribe to Modern Governor?
We offer an annual subscription, which gives all your school governors unlimited access to all Modern Governor e-learning modules for 1 year. There are 21 modules right now, and new titles are regularly released. Everything like certificates, reporting, new modules and module updates are included – no hidden costs. There are 2 options for you:
Option 1: Subscribe via your local authority
Option 1 is the most cost-effective for your school, and will cost your school around £89 per year. 70 local authorities currently offer Modern Governor as part of their Service Level Agreement (or similar) with their schools. A subscription to Modern Governor is usually organised via your Governor Services support team. They tell us which schools want to subscribe, we activate them on our website. Then we invoice your local authority and your school pays them using your usual internal processes. If enough schools within your local authority subscribe to Modern Governor, we offer discounts too. This is the most cost-effective way for your school to subscribe to our e-learning.
Or Option 2: Subscribe to us direct
Option 2 costs a little bit more – £299 per school per year. You might decide to subscribe this way if your local authority doesn’t offer Modern Governor, if you’re an independent school or if you’re not signed up to any of their support services.
What to do next
Option 1: If you’re not sure if your local authority subscribes, drop me a line and I’ll let you know. Then you’ll need to get in touch with your governor support team to tell them your school would like to subscribe (if you don’t know their details I can help you with that, too).
Option 2: Contact us via email with your full school name and address and we’ll get you started with a subscription.
