Modern Governor Working in Partnership with the NGA

National Governors' Association logoWe’re delighted to announce that this year Modern Governor will again be sponsoring the National Governors’ Association (NGA).

NGA support local governor associations and governing bodies, lobby ministers and policy makers on all policies that impact schools and offer high-quality guidance, information, conferences and advice for governors and governance professionals.

In a time of immense change for education and governance, I think the NGA offers tremendous support to Governors.

I’m delighted also that we’ll be developing some e-learning modules with the NGA.

Look out for more exciting news in January 2012 about our partnership with the NGA, and for our spot in “Governing Matters”.

Visit the NGA website to find out more about NGA membership.

I thought modern governor was part of the nga. If it is sponsoring the nga who funds modern governor? Presumably central govt? And if mod gov didn’t sponsor the nga, who would?

The NGA is an independent charity, with a number of corporate sponsors each year. Modern Governor is part of a commercial company called Learning Pool, which supplies e-learning services to the UK’s public sector. Modern Governor does not receive any central Govt funding.
