03 Aug New eLearning Module Available: Looked-after Children
We’re working flat-out to deliver lots of great new e-learning modules over the Summer. We released “Self-evaluation and the New Ofsted Framework” and “Is Governor Mark for Us?” in July and yesterday we released our latest module, “Looked-after Children”
Elaine Walton, Modern Governor’s Product Manager says: “This is the first interactive e-learning module designed specifically for School Governors about the challenges faced by looked-after children. School Governors play a vital role in improving their education outcomes; we felt it was about time that engaging, interactive and easily-accessible content for School Governors about this very important aspect of their role was made available. We’re very lucky that our expert network, together with Learning Pool‘s authoring tool, helps us to create the content our community needs, when they need it. As with all of our modules, we’ll be welcoming feedback from everyone who uses it, which we incorporate into our monthly content reviews.”
This module explains the difficulties which looked after children encounter, the support available, what role School Governors play and suggested actions for Governors.
- The Care System
- Looked-after Children in the School System
- Addressing Disadvantage in the School System
