15 Jun School Governance Study – Chairs of Governing Bodies
Yesterday, Chris James forwarded me this email and asked if I could publicise this study on our website.
Dear School Governing Body Chair
We are currently researching the role of Chair of School Governing Body in England. As part of our research we are surveying Chairs of Governing Bodies and headteachers about the role.
This survey of all Chairs of state-maintained schools Governing Bodies in England is the first of its kind.
We would be very grateful if you could complete the survey questionnaire which you can access via this link:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3BNNT97
You should be able to complete the questionnaire in about 20 minutes.
Your reply will help others understand the important work chairs do. It would be very helpful if you could complete the questionnaire as soon as possible or by Monday 27th June 2011 at the latest.
Your reply will be treated in the utmost confidence. It will only be seen by the members of the project research team. No individual respondent will be identified in any reports.
Many thanks for completing the questionnaire. Your contribution to our research is much appreciated.
With very best wishes

Posted at 05:23h, 16 JuneHi Elaine!
We had Chris as a key note speaker at our Governor’s conference in Bristol last year. Shame he didn’t pass this over as we could have helped. As it is we have just sent one out ourselves so won’t send this one otherwise it will feel like over-kill. Could you pass my regards on & let him know we are happy to help in the future
